Up & Over Canopy
This is the traditional, single-sheet door that has been on UK garages for decades.
How It Works
The entire solid panel is hinged at the top. When you open it, the bottom swings outwards and the whole door lifts to a horizontal position, where it rests partly inside and partly outside the garage, forming a canopy.
Movement
Simple outward and upward swing.
Space
Needs clear space in front to open. Can feel a bit "heavy" to lift manually.

Robust and classic, but can look a bit bulky when open.
